All of us who are believers have some type of desire in us to serve the Lord, some stronger than others.  

We are all called by God to share His Good News of salvation, however, we are not all called to bring that message abroad.  Some of us, like myself, who have a passion to serve God, are actually called to bring that Good News to those who are immediately around us like our family.

I had the privilege of meeting a family of 10 yesterday who have made it their life mission to serve God in Chile.  What an awesome opportunity:)

That does not demean the importance of our job here in the U.S.  As you can see by the people around us and the state of events here in the U.S., there are many who do not know of the Lord Jesus Christ here in our states.  It is a priority for all of us to reach those who we can, family, friends, neighbors, co-workers....

Mr. Spink's and his family shared a wonderful message with us that I would like to share with you.  The 8R's needed in our everyday life to serve and trust the Lord:

This sermon comes from Phillipians 4:4-8

1. REJOICE in the LORD Always.     Our circumstances should dictate us rejoicing in God.  As believers we know ALL things do not happen without his ok.  Everything is for our good.  We need to trust in Him who made us that He knows what is best for us.  Good, bad, ugly, hurtful, painful.  It does not mean we will not feel pain, anger, sorrow...we will...but we are to rejoice through those anguishing times.   Just look at Job.  He had everything taken from him.  He was bedridden with sores, but he still gave God the glory.  
2.  RECOGNIZE God's presence.
3. REFUSE to worry.
4. RELY on God.
5. REMEMBER to always be thankful.
6. RELAX in God's peace.
7. RESOLVE to think right.
8. RIGHT actions.

We have been blessed to know an unchanging God in an ever-changing world.  Let us share His peace and hope that we have found in Him with someone today.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your saviour, I pray that you are reading this and will allow Him to be ruler of your life.  He has already invited each and everyone of us.  All we need do is accept His invitation.
