The good go to Heaven.

This is the misconception in our worldly views that all good people go to Heaven.  Most religions have accepted this and teach this and many have bought into it.  It's easier isn't it than given your life over to someone else?

Most religions give respect to Jesus as a good preacher, a very special person just not as special as He said He was.

Jesus never said that the good go to heaven.  He stated that "He is the way, the truth, and the light, no one goes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)  He is not a way but the way.

He came to serve everyone not just some.  He came to serve not to be served.

He ate dinner with sinners, harlots, healed the ill and lame.  

Lots of people have a problem with what the Bible claims.  And if it is not true there are only four possible answers:

1. If you do not accept His teachings and truths, then He is a liar.
2. He was so delusional and believed He was who He said He was He convinced others too.  Neither of these options allow you to consider him a good man.
3. He never claimed to be the Son of God and those words were just added after His death, which allows you to deny His claims and still consider Him a good man.
4. It's the truth.

Why would so many people follow Him today if He was a liar, delusional, or the words were fabricated?  Do you see people still following the Waco guy or any other person who believes to be the Messiah. 

Jesus is a household name for a reason.  Some love to speak it, some love to steer away from it.

Why do we steer away from Him?  Because we are worldly people who would rather do things our way or the highway.  We have no respect for ourselves so how can we reverence the One True God.  

There are a lot of good people who are friends and family and unfortunately because they deny Jesus' work on the cross I do not believe they will go to Heaven.

There are those that I know that give and give of their monies with no strings attached.  Volunteer all sorts of hours at shelters and such,etc...but if they are doing it with a vain heart, it is worth zilch when they leave this world.

Doing it for your own self gratification is all the reward you will receive.
