Dreams

I was fascinated last night that my 9-year-old boy had finally opened up about his dreams to me.

The dream he told me about first was this...

He explained to me that in his dream it was a like a corn maze.  Everyone from the world seemed to be there.  God was there directing people.  Some people he told to go this way and some people he said they needed to go the other way.  The devil was there too at the opposite end of God.  So some were being directed to the Lord and some were being directed to the path of satan.

He was on the path going to God and in his dream he was actually playing football with Jesus.  Hence one of his favorite songs:  "It's my Father's House." by Audio Adrenaline

He asked me if I'd ever had a dream like that before.  And I had to be honest I had not.  But there are records in the Bible speaking of prophets who could interpret dreams such as Joseph and those people who had visions or dreams from God such as Pilates wife.

I was overjoyed that he had this dream.  It is in fact an answer to my prayer.  

You are never to young or old to be stricken by the devil's temptation and a huge spiritual battle.  And I know that my son is going through a huge spiritual battle.

He has been suffering from nightmares for years and is just so overwrought emotionally and mentally with lack of confidence and feelings of inadequacies.  Despite our best efforts to encourage and discipline appropriately everyday is a huge war for him. 

A few years ago I had started praying for him in a different way and since have seen some amazing progress in his own life not without new mountains to climb for him.

It is encouraging to know he has listened to our conversations as he has taken it upon himself to pray at night while in bed after regular prayer time.  God is speaking...
