We were founded on christianity:) Say what?

Okay so my last post was really a downer.  Are things looking up?  Yes.  God always brings beauty out of the bad situations.  I will still give Him the honor and glory through all my trials.  He is the handler of all situations and trust He will bring good to our circumstances.  

Right now I would like to start tackling a different problem that we and our churches all face.  How to reach others in today's society.

Do you know why we are not effective in witnessing to others today?  Do you know why so many leave the church or just do not attend the church?  

How can we be more effective?  What happened to the church?  What happened to our society?

We all know that so many things have already been taking from our schools and society yet we do nothing.  I am only one person what can I do?  

I know that I want to make a difference but how do we really do that.  How do we reach those who are unreachable?  How do we get others to see what we see?  How do we get the higher ups in our society who have the power to change our situation to wake up?

I am not sure I have the answer to that question at this point in time, but I am going to start with this post and move on from there.

Our church has been going through a series of videos in regards to effective witnessing.  These videos are from "Answers in Genesis."  The speaker is Ken Ham.  I am embarrassed that this group has been around for a long time yet this is the first I have ever saw of it.

I love it!  I have always struggled to get others to see that evolution and big boom are impossible but never really understood how to pick apart God's Holy Word in order to show it to them.

I don't know about you but I get all tongue twisted when someone starts telling me I'm wrong and it happened this way.  

I know that is satan trying to get me fearful of moving forward in my witness but still it is so frustrating trying to speak to someone who believes in all the trash talk we have been given over the years.

I believe "Answers in Genesis"  can help you too.  Take the time to visit them today.  It is so worth it.

A member of our church who grew up in the 1950's remembers then that it was so different.  The schools were allowed to use The Bible, they were allowed to pray, there was no questions in our pledge that there was "One God".....Today our government, our people have managed to rip this and much more out of our school system and our government buildings.  They are destroying America as we know it.

Do you also know that it is in the works to change documents to not read that our nation was founded on Christianity?  This should tic you off!

Can we be changed?  It took over 200 years for the changes that we now see to happen.  It is a slow process but we can change the world, we may not be here to witness the radical transformation but don't you think we should be a part of it?

Let's wake up ourselves and stop sitting on the side lines (myself included).
