What if....

 you knew you only had a 7 days to live?  That this time next week you would breathe your last breath.

Would you repriortize your life?  Your works for each day?  Could you move on knowing you did all you could to bring your heavenly Father glory?

The disciples of Jesus' day gave up everything for the glory of God.  They gave up their jobs, families, homes....how many of us would or could do that.

Our humanistic minds leave us dwelling on what ails us.  Finances, broken relationships, missing our loved ones...what about those lost souls?  Do we ache for them as the Father does?  Do we do all we can on a daily basis to further His Kingdom here on earth so that we will receive our heavenly treasures.

As I ponder each day wondering why I am still feeling so hurt and pained, am I in my Father's will?  Am I doing what God wants me to do each day? 

I know that suffering is part of this world especially as a Christian, but Lord can I just get a little breathing room?

Then you think well its not all that bad is it?  I have roof over my head.  I have some money.  I have an awesome family who may be far from me at times but they are still my family. 

I don't have to worry about persecution to the point of being killed or jailed.  I don't have to worry about a leaky roof right now.  I don't have to worry about clean clothes or where I will get my next meal.

We are pretty blessed - so why do we still feel so smothered by today's society and allow the miniscule worldly stuff break us?  We are human.  The devil loves to toy with our minds through pride and doubt.

Father, I want to make you proud today!  Help me to be the servant you want me to be.  Search my heart for wickedness and prideful ways and help me to repent.  Father, help my doubtfulness.  In Jesus' name I pray...Amen.
