The other day I am standing at my kitchen sink, listening to praise music, and staring out at the beautiful, majestic landscape. I sometimes imagine Jesus walking to me from the back woods at my home. Oh, how awesome that would be!
An overwhelming, exhilarating feeling came over me. You know like the one you get when you first see that special someone. You know that teenage feeling when you see your future cutie.
Oh, wow! But with God it is different. We may not be able to tangibly see Him. But, man, can you He make you feel so good. How awesome is that. That someone can make you feel so great without even physically touching you.
Don't get me wrong there are times I can feel God's loving arms wrap around me so tight - I never want Him to let go. I never want to stop feeling that.
But we have our days. We go around our menial lives and don't take notice of what He has given to us. We don't stop to say, Lord, you are so awesome. We don't let Him hold us.
So why does He still love us so much? More than anyone else could love you?
He created us. We are His creations. His gifts to one another. He loves us as every parent should love their child. Unconditionally with forgiveness, mercy, grace, love, peace, strength, hugs and kisses.
Believe me He gets angry at us for our stupidity and human ways, but He always forgives and never allows us to suffer as much as we should.
We should all love that way, brothers and sisters.
And, Lord, thank you for forgiving me for my disobedience. The Spirit prompted me to write this the other day and because I did not think it would be perfect, I kept putting it off. Or I felt something else was more important than you.
Lord, thank you for loving me in my condition.
Go and let God give you a hug and let Him love you!
