...being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1) In a nutshell this is salvation. Believe that God is our Creator. Jesus is His Son. Jesus died to take our punishment. We await His miraculous return so that we can go to heaven. We are saved by God's grace and our faith in Him.
The ancients, I believe the elders, were commended for their faith. It is by faith that we understand that the universe was formed at God's command and everything on it. (Hebrews 11:2-3)
It is hard to grasp the entirety of God and His abilities. After all we cannot touch Him, Himself, physically or see Him, but we can enjoy Him in all that we see - ourselves, family, friends, the sun, moon, stars, plants, animals - it all came from His command. He has always been there....and always will be.
So, if you do not believe in God, does that mean He is not there? No. He is still there guiding the world around us. In the end, whether you believe or not, we all will come to judgment. Which world will you belong to? The Kingdom of Heaven where the tears and anger of this world have been wiped away and you experience comfort and love for all time? Or the world of torment and destruction?
I put my faith in God. Why? He can take me to heaven. He can help me to overcome my shortcomings. He changes my heart.
Amen!
