Lord, I am confused sometimes about holidays and whether as a christian I should be partaking in any holidays if any.
Easter and Christmas is a great time to rejoice in the birth and resurrection of our Lord but according to scholars December would not have really been the time of our Lord's birth. The shepherds who were tending sheep would have done that in the warmer weather not in December. But is the weather warmer in December in Bethlehem back then?....
This issue has left me grieved at times and at other times it seems I am so happy just to be loved by you and to love you that I do not let it bother me but keep going on with some same and new traditions. Is this okay as long as the focus is on you?
Then I read this today in your Word Galatians 4:8-12.
I ask for your guidance, knowledge and wisdom in this area and the courage to do what I need to do according to your will.
Yours Faithfully, Mary
