Success God's Way

Sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ is our responsibility as God-loving, God-fearing Christians.  However sometimes our fears and insecurities get in the way.  Sometimes our own desires get in the way of continuing our faithful walk in Christ.

We spoke of setting our goals according to God's will through prayer and fasting.  What happens when His will seems to be more than we can handle?  What happens when daily interruptions may try to come between God's goals for us?

Every interruption should be seen as a Godly opportunity to share God's Word, but we should also make sure that the interruption will not keep us from God's will in our lives.  For example Paul knew the key cities he was to visit to share the gospel. His goal was to share the Good News and establish churches in each of these cities.  On His first trip to Ephesus, the people invited Paul to stay.  However, Paul knew he needed to reach the other cities.  So he declined the invite to complete his mission and after he completed his task for Father God, he then returned to Ephesus for two years.

Paul had clarity in his goals for God.

Be committed to sharing the Good News.  Allow your love for the Lord to overflow into others.  Paul was so happy to be a child of God that he could not wait to share the Good News.  The Bible is filled with stories of ordinary men and women like ourselves who were committed to sharing God's Word with others.  They overcame their obstacles to do God's work.

Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity in your mission for God.  Ask the Holy Spirit to help you overcome your fears and frustrations and insecurities of reaching others with God's Word.  The Holy Spirit is here to lead us, guide us, give us security and peace in ourselves to complete our task at hand.

You are a child of God.  Worthy of His love.  Spread the Good News today.  Touch someone today with your words of encouragement and love for God.  An unselfish act or kind word goes a long way to leading someone on their journey with Christ.

Do not think you are not capable of sharing His love with others.  God equips us with all that we need through His Word, prayer, and His Holy Spirit.

God's Blessings to you and your families,

Mary Ludolph
