The Gift of Life

God breathed life into man for man to take care of His precious earth and to love Him above all things and to love one another.  We have been given a gift far greater than any other living creature.  We have a responsibility to maintain this gift and to respect this gift and to love this gift.

Do not waste what God has given to you. Let us set our goals according to His will and do His mighty work.

We are His hands, feet, mouths.  We should be walking for Him, doing for Him and speaking for Him to others and the world around us.

What does God have planned for you?  He has a purpose for us all.  What is your purpose?  How do we find our purpose and set our goals according to His will in our lives?

We start with prayer and the scriptures.  Start by building or rebuilding that relationship with Him.  Ask for Him to show you His purpose for you. Ask Him to help you set goals in line with His purpose for you.  Be ready with pen and paper in hand to right down whatever He leads you to do so that you may plan your daily activities around these goals.  Do not take lightly what comes to your mind during prayer and scripture reading.  Write it down. It may seem like an impossibility but if it is what He truly wants from you, He will bring it to fruition.  Nothing is impossible through our Almighty Father.

Sometimes we may need to fast.  To spend a day keeping ourselves from daily pleasures:  food, TV, etc...spend the day meditating on the Lord and His purpose for you.  Be prepared to hear the Lord speaking to you and record your ideas and thoughts.

Tithing is sometimes an ugly word.  We have a hard time giving of ourselves and giving our monies to anyone.  But the Lord calls upon us to tithe 10% of all we He has given to us.  (Do not be fooled into thinking you have received anything on your own, for it has all been given to us by our Father in Heaven.  Money, clothes, shelter, grass, flowers, vegetables.....)  God wants our firstfruits not the leftovers. 

There are lots of places that we can give of our time, money, valuables.  Some ideas:

1.)  Church
2.)  Local Food Bank
3.)  Local Clothing Bank
4.)  Check for local womens and childrens or family shelters.
5.)  Check with your local church(es) for families in need.

Besides monetary donations, the Lord asks of us to give in other ways.  Our time is so valuable. Do we really give 10% of our time to Him and His Kingdom?  All of the above websites and many other organizations or people in your community are in need of prayer partners.  Consider being someone's prayer partner today!

To whom do you give glory and honor for all the many blessings in your life?  The Lord God Our Father has been gracious to each and everyone of us.  It does not matter whether we have a penny or $10 to give, but we should always remember where our profits and prosperity came from - the Lord.  Without Him everything is possible and nothing is impossible.  Give glory where it belongs - to God.  Tithe your earnings to the Lord.  Not sure where to tithe?  The above are only suggestions.  Please go to prayer with the Lord and see where He is leading you to use your blessings.  It may be someone you know who needs some help, your local church or organization.  Work, earn, give back to your community.  People helping people.
