Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:3-4
How great is thy faithfulness? Do we entrust our lives to our Lord Father each and everyday? Do we entrust every aspect of our daily activities to God? Do we wait upon Him before acting and speaking? Do we trust that we can do that and still be successful?
I have a truth and parable to share with you.
First the truth, Jesus is hungry and goes to a fig tree for some fruit but the fig tree does not bear any fruit. Jesus says to the fig tree "May you never bear fruit again!" The fig tree withers. The apostles ask how can this be? Jesus says to them "I tell you if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, " Go, throw yourself into the sea, and it will be done, If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:18-22
Now the parable of the two sons. A father ask his first son to go and work in the fields, the first son says no but later decides that it is not right to not obey his father and goes to the field to work. The father asks his second son to go and work in the fields, the second says yes he will but does not go. Which of these did what his father asked? The first did. Matthew 21:28-32
Do not tell the father I will and then not fulfill your promise as you would want Him to fulfill His promises to you. It would be better to say I will not then comply than to break a promise the Almighty God or your neighbor.
The greatest commandment is love the Lord God with all your heart and with all your soul, and the second is to love thy neighbor.
God Bless and have a great faithful day!
Mary Ludolph
