Are you Distracted?

Have you ever had a conversation with someone who was not listening to you?  How did this make you feel? Frustrated, angry, unloved, unimportant?

How do you think God feels when we come to Him and are distracted with our daily lives, our desires, and whatever else pulls us from His grace?  God wants our undivided attention just as we want others to listen and pay attention to us.

The Holy Spirit wants us to hear His message.  When we are walking with the Lord and are tuned into Him, we shall hear Him as a quiet voice or even by a miraculous sign.  But when we are not in tune with God, He will give us a restless spirit or speak a word of wisdom through a friend.  He may even do something drastic.

When we are not tuned into God's spirit, these warning signs can seem like spiritual attacks.  Yet these could be the very times that the Lord is revealing Himself to us.  Could He be trying to break through your distractions?  Prayerfully consider how the Lord is speaking to you and see if you can discern His message?

Prepare yourself before coming to the Lord by asking Him to clear your mind of all other things and give Him your undivided attention.

In the Lord's Love, Mary Ludolph
