I have read a lot of self-help, success books. They make you feel good and get you pumped then you take a look around and realize that your life is still the same as it was before you read them. Why? We do not apply their techniques daily to our lives. We read them and figure that our lives will change forever. We repeat their positive phrases and assume that is all we need to have a life-changing experience.
Where do these people receive their information of living a positive, loving, successful lifestyle? Consciously or subconsciously the techniques and laws and references used in these books are based on biblical standards and teachings.
God provided us with the one success Book we will ever need - His Holy Word - The Bible! He has given us His laws and precepts to follow. The Lord promises us that if we are strong and courageous and keep His Book of the Law in our heart, mind, and soul and meditate on it always that He will always be with us and never leave us!
This is the glorious promise of our Lord.
But in order to have His presence, we need to be applying and learning and studying His Word and commandments on a daily basis. Walking with Him in prayer (speaking with Him, meditating on Him, breathing His Holy name.) Have you read your Bible today? Have you thought about God today? How much time would it really take you to just read the passage given to you in the title here or just to shut your eyes for a moment right now and think of our Lord.
All it takes is a moment for an eternity of love and companionship in the heavenly realms. That moment will change your day and life forever!
