Who Do You Trust?

Trusting someone to me is one of the most hardest things anymore. I used to trust everyone until they gave me reason to doubt them. These days I seem to have a radar for that person which will hurt me or at least I think I do.

With each day that my relationship with God unfolds and grows, I see things differently. Acceptable practices become unacceptable.

So in a world filled with such hatred, lies, deceit...who do you trust? I hope that I can trust my husband and children. But that is just it - I hope - for the enemy truly loves to use the ones you love to attack you, hurt you, make you vulnerable. If they are not aware of this usage by the Father of Lies, it makes even worse. They feel they may not be susceptible to it or that in their eyes they would never do anything intentionally to hurt you. But that is just it, that is what the devil wants you to think.

We are all susceptible to his lies and deceit. We are all susceptible to his temptations.

We need to guard ourselves. How? Prayer and daily devotion.

I know that it was my lack of prayer and devotion that made me susceptible to his lies.

The Lord allows the Father of Lies to tempt us. Why?

Because He wants us to trust and place our faith in Him. All the time. Everyday. Every moment.

Because He wants us to listen to Him. Because He is trying to get our attention.

Maybe we drifted a little or a lot. Maybe we neglected to listen to his promptings to do something or say something. Maybe we allowed ourselves to get our of our daily prayer and devotion pattern which protects us and guards us in troubled times.

So if you always need to be on guard to everyone situation and every person, who do you trust?

GOD!

He is the winner everytime! He created us! He loves us! He forgives us in a heartbeat! He blesses us with His mercy, kindness, compassion, joy....with God in the forefront of our lives we shall overcome!
