I don't know what to pray!

There are many of times even in the most experienced Christian's life that we stumble on what to say to our Almighty Father.

We need not fear lack of speech with Him (or anyone.) We have a mediator - the Holy Spirit. There are two things we can do when we are at a loss of words and I like to do both together.

  1. Just sit, kneel, lay, whatever you feel is going to bring you closer to our Lord. Be still. Be quiet. Open your Bible and read Psalm 103 to praise the Almighty. Meditate and allow the Holy Spirit to do His job. To take your cares, concerns, requests to the Father. Really meditate on your Father and feel the Spirit taking those burdens from you and feel your weight lighten. Feel Jesus' arms wrapped around you comforting you.
  2. When you feel a weight lifted turn to the way Jesus taught us to prayer:
Matthew 6:6-15 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.a]">[a]

' For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Do not allow a lack of words keep you from enjoying one-on-one time with your Father. He deserves it, you need it, and He wants it for you.
