Abide in the Lord

The Lord God Almighty is forever blessed - praise be His Holy Name!
It has been awhile since I have been here.  We are so very tiresome as human beings.  Making mistakes, asking for forgiveness, drawing closer to the Lord only to repeat the process.

We allow ourselves to believe the lies of satan and he brings us down to a an all new low...but there is awesome news for you and I and everyone...
God can take away your pain and suffering and bring you comfort.

You cannot do it for yourself!  You cannot rely on someone else to bring you back to cheerfulness!  But the Lord God Almighty, Our Creator can give you the peace and comfort you seek.  Just believe!

I have been struggling, yet again through an emotional roller coaster.  These times are precious to me.  It recreates my relationship with the Lord and brings us to a whole new level.  Molding me and shaping me into His likeness.  It may be one small area He is shooting to refine, but it is one small step into be the person He has created me to be.

He simply wants our attention and focus.  I started my fasting by giving up coffee for one day and continued day after day to steer this dependence from coffee out of my life and focus on the Lord.  It is crazy how addictive our society is on such outside sources as coffee, nicotine, alcohol, chocolate, food, games, computers.....and list goes on.  Most people think of drugs and alcohol as the addict's choice but anything that takes our time away from the Lord is dangerous to our health and well being.

This time with the Lord was not spent deep in reading a lot of scripture. In fact, the Lord pointed me to a few Psalms and stories to meditate and my relationship just kept growing deeper and deeper by the minute.

Our Lord is awesome!

Praise God!
Amen!

How awesome He is! All glory and honor be yours Almighty Father! Have a great and blessed day my brothers and sisters! Love, Mary Don't forget to post testimonies, encouragement stories, prayer request.......we are all family. Not a believer or follower. Read more about Jesus. Allow His amazing gift to free you in your life today! Not a believer or follower.  Read more about Jesus.  Allow His amazing gift to free you in your life today!

  1. I agree with you that God will give peace and comfort. The bible speaks to that.

However, the peace and comfort that one may seek may not become manifest in the way and time a person expects, if at all. It all hinges on God's Will and Purpose and mankind's personal choices in life. God's Will and Purpose will alway supersede our personal expectations.  Much of the answers and protections we seek are in God's word the Bible, thus where we will find much of the peace and comfort that can and will excel all thought.

Point and case: A person may be seeking relief from a trial or circumstantial outcome brought on as a direct result of being deliberately  out of harmony with scriptural principles. Or the actions may not be deliberate but rather out of ignorance to bible principles. Or a person could be the victim of unforeseen occurrences e.g., illness, death of a loved one, job loss.

Regardless of the circumstance, God foretold in his word the Bible that critical times  hard to deal with will be in these last days. Therefore, Jehovah is already aware of mankind's troubles. The bible provides plenty of instructions on how to avoid and cope, if necessary, with any of life's problems. The Bible is our first line of defense and is the primary physical manifestation of Jehovah's love, care and support for those seeking to do his will. But the Bible is seldom read, studied or followed by most professing to be followers of the Christ in these last days. There in lies much of the problem.

God's thoughts and ways are higher than man. We can have the mind of Christ (Jesus, God's Son) but never the mind of Jehovah. This unchangeable fact has been a major stumbling block to many who's view of God and the expectations of divine intervention are not realized or have produced  a different outcome. The result, many have chose to go it alone deciding for themselves right and wrong, good and bad, finding comfort in unrealities, and religious customs and practices that are not in harmony with bible teaching.

If and when Jehovah decides to intervene in any personal circumstance, beyond the peace, hope and prior avoidance instructions provided in the Bible, you can be assured that it will be done in a way pleasing to him and in complete harmony with his word the Bible and foretold Will and Purpose.
