Let us rejoice and be glad in it:) New day, new week - a great time for restoration of our soul, mind, and body. Renew your salvation and refresh the spirit that resides in you. Or take that first step towards God and believe in Him know that He sent His Son, Jesus, who willing died for you and I, and rose again to fulfill the prophecy and will be coming again to take us with Him. Rejoice!
I thought that I would start this week with an excerpt from a book I have been reading. "The boy who came back from Heaven." a true story by Kevin and Alex Malarkey. An awesome book of courage, strength, and faith.
"I felt ashamed for having doubted them. How often did I do others the injustice of assuming the worst about them? I still had my own guilt to contend with, but it was such a relief to know there were brothers and sisters in Christ who had my back, who wouldn't judge me, and who would pray for me when it was so very difficult to pray for myself. The love they showed filled me with a fresh energy to pray for Alex."
These are some impressive words. Time for a self check - what type of brother or sister are you? Are you judgmental (the act of forming of an opinion, estimate, notion, or conclusion, as from circumstances presented to the mind)? Presented to the mind? Hmmm. Our mind is a major battlefield. Its thoughts sometimes are not that of our own or the Lord. Which is why it is so important to be in God's Word everyday and to be communicating with our Lord everyday throughout the day. Impure thoughts? Call out to God! It is so easy with one word or thought to destroy someone else or our perception of them thus destroying our relationship with them.
During my walk with Christ, I have met some brothers and sisters who if I had not been faithful to my God would have probably given up. Our walk is so hard in and of itself that meeting others who proclaim to know and love God but do not love as they should makes it even harder.
I know that I have portrayed in my own life both sides of this picture. I only pray that my incorrect attitudes did not lead someone astray from Christ. And I look to these down times and hope that I learn from them and grow from these lack of maturities so that I may portray Christ in a proper and righteous way.
I would like others to see me as a sister that they can turn to and will not judge them. This is a daily battle. We are all guilty of judging others even if we do not mean to. It is human nature. Call upon God today to strengthen your faith and mind and to see others as He sees them - His child. For we all fall short of the glory of God not just some of us.
God Bless and have a great day
