He is made stronger in my weakness!

Praise God that Jesus is made stronger through my weaknesses.  I am such a weak person.  I am growing stronger with each passing moment and each new trial, but I am still so very weak.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for being so merciful towards me.  I pray that I may have that type of mercy towards others.  Something I know that I need to work on.

I only pray that my husband feels that he too is made stronger through my weaknesses.  As I know I am made stronger through his weaknesses.  It is how I see my own weaknesses.  I can then bring them to the Lord to assist me in repenting.  As I cannot do it alone.

My husband and I had a blow out the other day.  One of those situations where I said everything no one ever wants to hear.  But some of it was true to how I have been feeling.  He needed to know.  The truth is that if I had come to him calmly and talked about it he probably would've been less understanding of it and it would've hurt more.  Knowing I said it out of pure anger almost gives him some comfort?  At least that is the way I see it.

I have been replaying the whole situation in my mind and what I said was just plain out nasty! I would've felt absolutely mortified.

I also needed to see that ugly side of myself.  I needed to see how prone to temptation I really am.  We all are.  No matter how much you love the Lord or how much missionary work you do - don't ever allow yourself to be fooled into thinking  you cannot be tempted.  The devil is real and he knows your weaknesses and he is just waiting to prey on you.

Thank goodness, God, uses all these awful things to make a better us.  God has brought a lot of things to light through this trial.  Truths I necessarily would not have heard if I had not seen the uglier side of myself out in the open.

Praise God for His loving mercy!
