Make no mistake Jesus is coming! What hour, what day? Even the angels of the Lord and the Son do not know. We need to be prepared.
Matthew 24 - I love to read it. It fills me with such different emotions. Conviction, awe, joy, peace....Are we ready?
This chapter awakens you to the awesomeness of what is to be. Jesus is coming back to save those who God has chosen for "many are invited, but few are chosen." (Matthew 22:14)
Is your name in the Book of Life? How can we be sure?
God instructs us throughout the Bible to walk in the Spirit so that we will not conform to this world or our fleshly desires. It is a constant battle between good and evil.
The only way to walk in the Spirit and draw closer to God in order to conform to His ways and become more like Christ is through His Word and through our conversations with Him (prayer.)
If you do not have a dedicated prayer time and devotion time - get one! It is oh, so vitally important to developing a relationship with God and maintaining our relationship with Him.
Haven't heard from the Lord? Be patient. He is there. He will come to you, speak to you, comfort you in ways you have never even fathomed. He knows the perfect time to come to you so that you will listen. Maybe you even missed the call by putting Him on hold - take Him off the waiting list and put Him first and foremost in your life. Allow Him to work His mysterious wonders within you.
I have a lot of refining to do before the Lord comes. Bad habits, ill thoughts - thank goodness it is a lifetime process but for how much longer? I need to rid myself of that which keeps me from His graces.
For "as it was in the day of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left." (Matthew 24:36-41)
Will you be taken with Christ or will you be left behind? The Master...will come on a day that we do not expect Him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will place him with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 24:50-51)
Live for Christ today so that you may live with God tomorrow!
Praise God!
All glory and honor be Yours, Almighty Father, forever!
I pray that God leads you to His promises and that your hearts will be softened by His prevalent grace to work within you and lead you to Him and His kingdom!
Amen!
