Forgive me, Father, as I have never been very organized in getting all my thoughts, prayers, and answers to prayers written in one place. But now as the Holy Spirit prompts I would like to take the time to thank you for what I remember you have done for me. I know the following will not include everything but it is a starting list that I would like to share with all so that hopefully with Your love and compassion You will lead others to read this and reconsider their relationship with you, Lord.
- Thank You, Father God, for your One and Only Son, Jesus Christ, who sent you to earth as a babe to take on our sins. He who knew no sin, He who was without disease or mar, voluntarily took our sin upon Him and was crucified for our wrongdoings so that we may have life in You. A life full of love and forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven. Thank you, Father.
- Thank You, Lord, for sending Your Holy Spirit after Your Son's death. Thank you for allowing Your Spirit to be with us here on earth to guide and lead us in Your ways.
- Thank You, Father God, for your awesome Word. Your Word which gives us hope, comfort, joy, and love in the midst of a cruel and hateful world.
- Thank You, Father God, for not giving up on me. Thank You for pursuing me and leading me to accept Your free gift of grace into salvation which has brought me freedom in my life.
- Thank You, Lord, for lifting me up and comforting me when I felt worthless and without cause. Without you I probably would have committed suicide. The thoughts have always been so prevalent in my mind. The evil one has always done a good job in making me feel that I am without purpose which I know through Your Word is a lie. I know that satan lies to us and uses Scripture, Your beautiful Word, to twist our ideas and thoughts. Your Word is the Only Truth in which I want to abide. Satan is a defeated foe. Stand behind me, satan, in the name of my Lord, Jesus Christ, for you have no power over me.
- Thank You, Father God, for bringing me out of a life of drugs. Without You there to protect me, I would have probably died from drug use.
- Thank You, Father God, for forgiving my iniquities and sins. Especially that of divorce; having children out of wedlock; my use of drugs; my abuse of food and alcohol and cigarettes as coping mechanisms; my profanity; my misuse of Your amazing Name; my hatred, bitterness, anger, lack of love, lieing; dishonoring of my parents, not keeping holy the Sabbath; putting money; self, and other things and people before you; for my adultery (looking at others in a way I should only look at my spouse and being with my current spouse while not divorced from my first husband and getting divorced and remarried); stealing makeup and pills from a store, money from my brother and mother; for desiring what others have.
- Thank You, Father, for giving me freedom in Jesus Christ through confession and repentence and releasing me from my parent's and grandparent's sins and that of my own sin.
- Thank You, Father God, for the beautiful creations You have given to us on this earth, the sun, the moon, the stars in the sky, the tress, the green grass, the flowers, and vegetables and fruits. The amazing animals which swim in the ocean depths and scurry across Your land and much more that we do not even realize is around us. You are quite amazing and miraculous.
- Thank You, Lord, for bringing comfort to me in troublesome times. For lifting me up our of my darkness and letting me know that I am worthy and here for a purpose.
- Thank You, Father, for giving me new found love in my husband when I have lost my respect for him.
- Thank You, Father, for giving me peace and love towards my children when I think I can parent no more.
- Thank You, Lord, for my husband and children that you have graced me.
- Thank You, Father, for making me fruitful.
- Thank You, Lord, for giving me joy, peace that surpasses all understanding.
- Thank You, Lord, for showing me how to appreciate the small things again.
- Thank You, Lord, for bring laughter back into my heart.
- Thank You, Lord, for restoring my relationship with my older children.
- Thank You, Lord, for my home, for the clothing on our backs, for never forsaking us financially, emotionally, and spiritually, and physically.
- Thank You, Lord, for being The Awesome, One and Only, Loving, Compassionate, Slow to Anger, Merciful, Joyful, Peaceful, Almighty Creator.
Love, Mary
