Help! I have been struggling with burnout since the winter blues set in. Burnout affects our moods, physical appearance and emotional state. Not enough sleep, overindulgence, lack of spiritual and physical exercise can leave us feeling unfit, tired, run down, irritable and insecure.
So how do we avoid burnout? What do we do first? Do we work on our spiritual, emotional, physcial self?
I strive to be a Proverbs 31 woman! Wake up early before everyone else so that I may devote some time to myself with exercise and spend time with my One and Only God.
I look in the mirror the next morning and thank the Lord for making me feel so beautiful. After all He is the Only One who can make us feel that way. Our One and Only Lord makes us feel like His One and Only.
Then something happens. We overindulge in our favorite pastime (eating ice cream....) Or we sleep in too many mornings feeling as though we earned it. Sometimes rewarding ourselves for good behavior leads us down a path of unrighteousness.
Don't get me wrong I believe we should reward ourselves but we need to be careful that our will does not take control. Remember to follow God's will and not that of our own understanding.
So what do we do now? Well excellent for us that we have such an Awesome, Forgiving God. He forgives us, cleanses us, and we turn from the evil that is luring us away from Him.
New week - new you!
Now, I just received my Wii Fitness Plus for Mother's Day - yeah! I have a tough time exercising. Lack of motivation. Not enough time. I cannot afford financially or timewise to go to a gym. Exercising on my own is boring therefore does not heed results. This Wii Fitness Plus has given me what I need. It may be a computer image keeping me company and motivated but it is working to keep me physically fit.
When we are motivated to stay physically fit, our mind is cleared of the cobwebs and we are able to focus on our mental and spiritual fitness. It is easier for us to get up in the morning to keep our daily appointment with the Lord.
So follow up my physical fitness routine with prayer and devotion and I am ready to take on my day! A better wife, mother, and witness for Christ.
More secure in myself. More faith in my One and Only God!
Praise you Lord Heavenly God! Thank you for the strength!
Getting up early may seem like such a task for us, but Christ suffered so much more. In fact, Christ gave up His sleep on so many occasions in order to be with the Father.
I know that sleep is very important for maintaining a fit Mii but I also think that we give our bodies to much sleep at time. A good 6-8 hour sleep in line with pacing ourselves during the day is what we need to stay on top!
As you fall asleep keep Christ in your heart and mind. Going to sleep with the Lord and waking up with Him on your mind are essential to maintaining your relationship with the Lord.
Start today with a prayer and devotion!
And Exercise Mii to stay focus and fit everyday!
God bless everyone!
