Thank you, Lord Jesus! A mother and daughter's relationship together are filled with such milestones. The bond of a mother to her children is indispensable.
I'll never forget the feeling of remorse and guilt I felt towards my own mother when I gave birth to my first child, who was a girl, and how I went running to her to ask for her forgiveness.
The Bible indicates to us that what does go around comes around.... I was so fearful of this when she was young.
We always go along so well even when their (her and her brother) dad and I separated. We went through so much together. We were ever so close.
Then comes the irrevocable consequences of dismissing our marriage. The step-mom and step-dad scenarios. The manipulative ways of other human beings to get each other to believe one loves more than another and the if she loved you.....
As she grew up and watched her drift, I wanted the old days back when she ran to me and jumped up on me and thought I was awesome for making brownies and milk. Oh, how I miss her.
However, Lord, we should never doubt your power, never doubt your reasons for what you do. Even our children as much as we want to protect them they are only biologically ours and you have even placed us in their lives for a period of time.
Then recently came "the letter." "The letter or words" that every mother who is separated from their child for one reason or another longs in their heart to receive. Oh, how glorious You are, Father God! She does love me and respect me and she is ever so thankful for my presence in her life. She reaffirmed my doubts that I was such a huge tool used by You to bring her to Christ. Priceless....
Thank yoiu, Father, for giving me the opportunity to be a part of something so awesome and wonderful. Watching my older children walk in your ways and develop a relationship with you is the best gift I could ever receive.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you....
Love, Mary
