Thank you, Lord, for sending us an angel this holiday season. It is always wonderful to receive your blessings but this was very special.
On Saturday, December 5th, as we returned from breakfast at church, it started to snow. It seemed like perfect conditions to go and get our Christmas tree.
With the snow lightly falling upon us we made our way to the tree farm and carefully parked our vehicle which seems to get stuck in everything.
The children and I picked out a beautiful tall tree. As the kids were running in and out of the trees having a great time, John was cutting down the tree we chose with a handsaw. A gentleman with his son passed by with their tree. We exchanged a hello and went our ways.
A few minutes later John and I managed to get the tree down. With the tree thrown over his shoulder and us in tow we managed our way through the snow and back to the front of the tree farm.
When we approached the owner of the tree farm, he told John "Merry Christmas! That tree is no charge for the gentleman in front of you offered to pay for your tree." John was astounded. He stood there speechless.
I too was so overjoyed by the generosity of this gentleman and how your spirit had touched him to forward such kindness to us, Lord. Thank you.
I pray that that man and his family will be overflowing with blessings this holiday season, Lord. I pray that John and I will have the opportunity to pay forward this kindness to someone else in need.
Thank you for bringing him into our lives.
Then, Lord, miraculously you laid it upon my brother's heart to send us a gift. I do not know how you do it, but You knew we needed the money to straighten out some bills and when I asked where the funds would come from, You just needed me to place it into your hands. So I did. And that afternoon my younger brother, who never send me gifts of any sort, sent a big check in our Christmas card. Thank you, Lord Jesus!
God Bless You, Heavenly Father.
Faithfully Yours, Mary
