Dwell in God's Love

The love of the Lord is so special. He is love. It is His very nature.

He loves us because we are. He does not expect us to be perfect. Nor does He love us less or more because of what we have done, what we have accomplished, or what we have done right.

He loves us just the way we are.

John 3:16 tells us that He loved us so much He was willing to sacrifice His only Son for us. Is there any greater love than that?

Meditate today on God's love for you, the sacrifice of His Son. Cling to Him. Allow God to be your center today. Let God love you. Let His love strengthen you so that you can give love to someone else.

How to meditate on God? Take your Bible, if you have one, don't even open it. Just hold it to your heart or wrap your arms around yourself. Close your eyes. Vision God in your mind - how you may see Him. Envision someone warm, loving, embracing you. Allow this being to tell you that you are my child, I love you, I care for you, you are special to me. If you feel an urge to open His book do so and allow your fingers to just take you to a page. He will guide you to what you need to hear. Or just sit there and allow Him to hold you and comfort you. Ask Him for peace and love, comfort and joy. Give Him your sadness and anger.

Do this today. Whether it be for only 5 minutes, 2 minutes. Give Him what you can today, then give Him a little more tomorrow. Do it a couple of times a day. Experience His perfect love and mercy and experience your burdens lifting as He takes you to new heights.

"God loves me. I am special to Him. I receive His everlasting love today and am strengthened in my inner man."
