Psalm 73 speaks of living life in Jesus Christ vs the death of sin. If the evil life, the sinful life, can look so enviable, why choose to lead a life in Jesus Christ.
The sinful life is only short lived. Although to some it may seem a lifetime on this earth, there is more that awaits after our time here. The Bible assures us that Jesus will return and set up His kingdom. Will he have a home waiting for you? Is your name listed in the Lord's Book of Life? I pray that it is my fellow man.
The Lord gives us hope and comfort and love and provides all that we need and He guides His children. These are promises that He has made to all of us who choose to follow Him. Our unwavering faith guarantees us that He who has created us will not abandon us during stormy times. He will not necessarily take them away from us immediately but He will usher us safely through and in that we can take comfort. Faithfully state that "Lord, this is where you want me to be."
Strive to be in the center of God's will. He has reason for you to face discomfort. With or without Him you will face these trying times, but will you be lead through in peace and the promise of a new life after this one on earth or lead into another storm only to face a short-lived party then the fiery pits?
