Be prepared to respond.

As I have been saying each night I go to bed I have been asking the Lord to give me the strength I need to get up early and train my physical, emotional, and spiritual welfare.

I have been procrastinating.  This morning the Lord was tired of my excuses.  It was inevitable that I get up and give Him the time He deserves.

First the baby got up, then my four-year old, then my 2-year old each have been sick and needed tending to.  By the time everyone had been taking care of and put back to bed it was almost 4 a.m.

Go back to sleep?  Sounded good.  But the Lord has different plans for me.  I need to get back into the swing of things.  I am stunting my spiritual growth and my physical growth is growing in the wrong areas.

It would be too easy for the babies to climb into bed with me.  I was forced to work this morning.

It felt great.  I am exhausted?  Yes.  But it was well worth it.

Lord, don't let me fall back into a bad pattern.  Keep pushing me.  You know my limits.

Thank you, Lord, for being my biggest fan and encouraging me.

Praise God
