In times of trouble where do you turn? Friends, family...although your friends and family can be a great source of comfort during difficult times, have you always been protected? Have they always had your best interests at heart?
Whether we believe in God or not, we are going to go through difficult and what seem to be impossible times. In life, every situation and encounter happens for a reason. You may call it fate - I call it the will of God.
God knows what we need when we need it. Sometimes He may allow us to wait longer than we feel we need to wait for the resolution. Why? He is building us up in character and strength.
There is only one being who will always be there for you - God. He brought Hezekiah out of what seemed to be an impossible situation. The Assyrians were many numbered compared to Hezekiah's army. For all due purposes it seemed to be a no-brainer. Hezekiah and his small numbers should have been overcome. But God was there to protect Hezekiah. Why? Because Hezekiah loved and obeyed the Lord's commandments and most of all Hezekiah had faith. He trusted that the Lord would protect him and his people.
Allow God to protect you and build you up in strength. Through Him nothing is impossible and everything is possible.
